James T. Hay, M.D.
Dr. Hay has practiced Family Medicine since 1978. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania. His residency was at the Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton. He is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Hay is a member of many professional organizations, including the San Diego County Medical Society, California Academy of Family Practice and has leadership roles in the California Medical Association. He has received the AMA Physicians Recognition Award every year since 1977. He is active in local and state political action and enjoys running, travel and great restaurants. Dr. Hay and his wife, Tricia, have two grown children and live in Del Mar.
James F. Quigley, D.O.
Dr. Quigley brings more than 30 years of experience to North Coast Family Medical Group. He is a 1971 graduate of Villanova University and received his D.O. degree in 1975 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His clinical experience includes Family, Osteopathic, and Emergency Medicine. Dr. Quigley is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of California, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He has been the Chairman of the Physicians Health and Well Being committee at Scripps Memorial Hospital -Encinitas since 1983. He was selected by his peers to be included in the "Best Doctors in America" in 1997 and has been a receipient of San Diego Magazine "Top Docs" award in 3 of the last 4 years. In addition to his practice here at North Coast Family Medical Group, Dr. Quigley also acts as the principal investigator for Encompass Clinical Research – North Coast.
Richard E. Payne, M.D.
Dr. Payne received his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego in 1982. He graduated from residency training in Family Practice at Santa Monica Hospital in 1985 and entered private practice at North Coast Family Medical Group. Dr. Payne is Board Certified in Family Practice, has recertified in 1992 and 1999, and was awarded the status of Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a former President of the San Diego Academy of Family Physicians and continues to serve on the board of directors. Dr. Payne is committed to the healing and wellness of his patients through motivating lifestyle change and utilizing the latest advances in medical science. He enjoys teaching medical students at UCSD as a volunteer Clinical Instructor. Dr. Payne, his wife Cathy, and their three children, enjoy being active in St. John's church community and love living the Leucadia lifestyle.
Craig S. Duck, M.D.
Dr. Duck joined North Coast Family Medical Group in 2002 after practicing in the Santa Monica/Pacific Palisades area. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at UCSD, where he met his wife. He studied at UCLA School of Medicine, then attended the West Coast's premier Family Practice residency at Santa Monica-UCLA. Dr. Duck emphasizes preventative care, and has special interests in Women's Health, Dermatology, and office-based procedures. His hobbies include ice hockey, cooking, and collecting comic books.
Georgine Jorgensen, M.D.
Dr. Jorgensen joined North Coast Family Medical Group in April 2006. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Master's degree in public health from Boston University. She attended George Washington University Medical School where she received her medical training. Dr. Jorgensen completed her family medicine residency training at the University of California, San Diego. She is board certified in family medicine and is fluent in Spanish and Greek. She enjoys running, surfing, cooking and spending time with her husband and sons.
Amy Kakimoto, M.D.
Dr. Kakimoto joined North Coast Family Medical Group in June 2009. She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA and completed her medical training at UCSD School of Medicine. She received her residency training in Family Medicine at UCSD. Dr. Kakimoto is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She particularly enjoys caring for athletes of all ages and types as well as Women's Health and in-office procedures. She enjoys traveling to new places, yoga, cooking and spending time with her husband and daughter.
